The Disease
In 2018, an estimated 1,735,350 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States and 609,640 people will die from the disease.

Joining the Fight
West Side Transport and its employees saw an opportunity to contribute directly towards fighting against cancer and offering support to all who are affected. We wanted to create awareness while also generating money toward finding a cure. How we went about that is nothing like anyone has ever done before and will completely change how other trucking companies contribute towards great causes like the fight against cancer.

“Convoy for a Cure” Was Created
Being a part of the transportation industry, West Side Transport has a unique opportunity to create awareness while also generating money to contribute to fighting against cancer. The employees of West Side Transport created teams within the company and started raising money to buy a brand new 2017 Wabash trailer that would be wrapped in pink with the various cancer ribbons flowing down the side. This trailer would not only create awareness but a portion of the revenue the trailer generated for the life of the trailer (12 years) would be donated towards finding a cure.

We Did It
After six months of effort, teamwork, and personal donations the employees of West Side Transport raised over $31,000 to buy a new 2017 Wabash trailer.

West Side Transport is doing its part in contributing towards the fight. If you feel compelled to do the same, please do so. Every dollar raised will be contributed at the end of the calendar year. Where the money is donated will be decided by the employees of West Side Transport.

Thank You
A special thanks to all the employees of West Side Transport for contributing towards the fundraising of the “Convoy for a Cure” trailer. Together we have accomplished something truly spectacular.
